The coordinator with the participants collectively constitutes an experienced consortium capable of achieving the FC-DISTRICT project objectives. The collaborating large companies, SMEs, research organizations and universities represent a broad range of sectors. The multidisciplinary consortium has been configured with a well-balanced share of:

Large industrial and industrial SME, with strong research capabilities (ACCIONA, MOSTOSTAL, KNAUFKG, KNAUFABEE, FAGOR, Powerpipe Systems and D'APPOLONIA). ACCIONA and MOSTOSTAL are construction companies. KNAUFKG and KNAUFABEE are building product industries, FAGOR is one of the major European producers of heating devices, Powerpipe Systems is a pipe producer. D'APPOLONIA is an engineering company, specialized in several industrial services.
Technological specialized SMEs with research capabilities (EBZ, RINICOM, SOLINTEL, ECOFAST). EBZ is a high-tech SME specilaised in Fuel Cell development. RINICOM and SOLINTEL are high technology companies in the ICT and energy sectors. ECOFAST is specialised in environmental technologies.
Research organizations: IEn, ECN, IKERLAN, OVM ICCPET, SP, VITO are research units; NTUA.HMCS, TU-BAF, CUT, IST are Universities.
Other: IntesaSanpaolo represents one of the largest European banks.

The consortium is composed by 22 partners from 11 EU-countries: Germany, Spain, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Portugal, United Kingdom, Poland, Belgium and Romania.
